Rashid Dostum “Big fish among the Afghan warlords”

Gen. Abdul Rashid Dostum and the nation’s 14 other warlords are “a mixed blessing”, Sara Carter is writing in an article in The Washington Times.

They are often corrupt and clinging to 14th-century notions of justice. They are an integral part of Afghanistan’s past and present and are likely to remain so in the future.
